1. What is the meaning of errands
to run?( easy pronunciation:
to go out to buy or do something: After school, he runs errands for his father. Helping and
co-operating.
2. Be
sick and tired
be sick (and tired) of (doing) something(also be sick to death of (doing) something) spoken to be angry or bored with something that has been happening for a long time I’m sick and tired of your excuses. I am sick of working for other people
3. lend a hand
assist in an action or
enterprise.
"He was a kind and considerate neighbour who was always there to
lend a hand in times of need"
4. Do not
lift a finger
. to not help someone do something, usually because you are too lazy: He never lifts a finger to help with the housework.
5. Put
your feet up
to sit and relax
informal. : to sit and relax: to not
work or be active. I'm going to go home and put my feet up.
6. What
does it mean to do your share
do (one's) share. To
contribute work to that of others in a group. If you don't do your share the
slides, our presentation will never be finished on time. We haven't asked you
to do anything extra. Just do your share.
